This is officially my 14th day of walking and have covered 390 kilometres and 629,176 steps.
Today’s journey was blue pen to red pen.

My schedule, so far, has been I want to be in this place by the end of the day. However sometimes that doesn’t work out due to weather conditions or physical conditions. Today I woke up not feeling the best, almost like a head cold coming on. Pushing my body, changes in temperature from 9 degrees in the morning to 30 degrees in the afternoon, a number of reasons. I took a Tylenol and said I will travel to the first village and see how I feel. Good: continue on; bad: stop.
At Castrojeriz I was feeling really good. I had energy and my head and body felt fine. I think because this section was relatively flat helped. I assessed if I could go on, and I felt I had another 10k in me, so off I went.
Upon reaching Itero de la Vega, I took a break, had a rest and some food. Did I think I could go on? Yes because I was feeling fine and looking at the elevation it was doable. I made it to Boadilla and stopped. So by not having a set agenda I am able to be flexible and allow what happens happen. And no disappointments because I didn’t reach my goal. While I have an ultimate goal of reaching Santiago, I don’t need daily or hourly goals, just let it happen.
Today’s lesson: Faith in Spontaneity: let it unfold.
I took this picture today that exemplifies this faith in letting life happen.

And when you let things occur without forcing them, magic happens. I checked in the Albergue and this was waiting for me!!!!!!

The biggest foot bath ever! I know just not caring about things doesn’t mean life will be perfect, or turn out okay, it’s about not planning every second of the day. I think from today I learned that you live by letting life happen.
I am seeing and experiencing so much, I am not sure I can document it all, and that’s okay because sometimes you have to experience things for yourself.
This is my day.

I have been trying to send comments of encouragement but there was some glitch. I follow you daily. What you are doing is AMAZING!! Keep going, my dear friend. You have it in you. Paula xo

Let it all unfold as it does. Checking in with yourself is so important, great point. Taking a rest day (or two) is ok if that’s what you want. Looks like you’re about half way at this point. You’ve made it so far!! Happy for you!
