Today is an interesting and amazing day. Three hours of relatively easy assent followed by three hours of relatively hard assent!

I bypassed the Alto Pradela but the climb to O’Cebreiro was one of the hardest days. That is the last long hard climb.

I am grateful that with this journey and through it all I have been able to stop and smell the roses!

And that throughout my aches and pains I have been able to find the joy in the view!

Trust me when I say that; I’m not wearing rose coloured glasses. I have always tried to see the best and what’s beautiful our world has to offer. This journey has solidified that for me.

As an example as I was approaching this marker:

A taxi pulled up, a passenger hopped out, ran over to the marker to take a selfie then got back in the taxi and drove off!

Honestly I laughed and I was not bothered or pissed off with them. I can’t judge them; I don’t know their circumstances or the journey they are on; and, most importantly, their actions don’t take away from my achievement.

I am fortunate that I can walk this Camino but we all walk our own Camino in our own unique way. Just don’t forget to smell the roses and find joy in your view.

Today I moved onto Galicia and I felt like I was in Ireland for the Celtic influence is powerful.
